i went to chicago this weekend and was blown away for a couple of reasons.

first of all, i have never really cared if i went my entire life without seeing that city, but after going for only a couple of days i fell in luv with chicago. get this, they have a fast food place called portillos. but here's the thing, it's not just a 'normal' fast food place... it's a 'classy' fast food spot thats cheap AND they have alcohol. moving on, it was really cold, freakin frigid as in single digits, ice all over the place... not really tryin to walk around during the day for site seeing. so, i checked out the night life for the most part. lemme tell you one thing, people are all over some progressive house out there and lose their shit when their favorite song comes on.

secondly, i met a really fun person the first night i was there at one of chicago's finest night clubs, vision. this place WAS UNREAL i have never in my life seen decor like this. the place was fully loaded i'm talkin decked out from corner to corner absolutely amazing. anyhow, i wasn't really feelin the progressive, hard step, techno, gabber, house music (whatever they call it) that was being played in most of the club. i went downstairs to the d&b room danced a little bit then needed a drink. after buying my drink from the bartender i realized i forgot to tip her. i walked back over to the bar and found a spot that wasn't that crowded. as i excused myself i leaned over some guy...
him: sarcastic tone "oh, i'm sorry, didn't know being a barfly would get in your way."
me: same tone "well... you are in my way, so why don't ya go head and move."
him: speechless and staring at me
me: umm, are you just going to stare at me all night or are you going to say something

and that my friends was the start of a glorious relationship. no but really, we just started talking as if we've known each other 4eva. he became my little chicago buddy night life tour guide. it was great

i can't wait to go back and tear up the town!

Hello all...

Tomorrow I have to work at the waterfront, BORING. Then, from there I am going to the NFL kick off at the mall -- look out.

I think that we need to have a huge BBQ before the summer is really over *having hard time accepting* besides we all need to fill each other in on all the good juicy gossip
